Editorial Standards

These are the rules we hold every published page to. They keep our recommendations consistent, our monetization transparent, and our safety language honest.

1. No fake prices or fabricated ratings

We do not publish invented prices. We do not publish made-up star ratings. Every product card links to a live Amazon search so the reader always sees the current listing, current price, and current real-customer reviews.

2. Duty rating and reach are non-negotiable

Every ladder we recommend is paired with its ANSI duty rating (Type IAA, IA, I, II, or III) and an honest reach estimate at the manufacturer’s recommended setup angle. We never quietly upgrade a ladder’s rating to fit a recommendation.

3. Safety language ships with every tool

Our quiz, reach calculator, duty calculator, prioritizer, setup generator, visualizer, and inspection tracker all carry the full ladder safety disclaimer. We use words like estimate and guidance — never safe — because actual safety depends on the user, the ladder, and the setup.

4. Affiliate links are disclosed

As an Amazon Associate, BestLaddersReview may earn from qualifying purchases. We display this disclosure in the header, near every product block, and on a dedicated Affiliate Disclosure page.

5. Editorial separation

Affiliate revenue does not influence rankings. If two ladders compete head-to-head and the one we don’t earn a commission on is the better pick, that’s the one we recommend.

6. Corrections policy

Email [email protected] if you spot an error. We correct typos silently, add an editorial note for substantive corrections, and update the page’s “Last reviewed” date.
