Meet the Team
Our editorial team is small on purpose. Every guide is written, fact-checked, and reviewed by people who have actually climbed the ladders we recommend. We don’t spin up anonymous AI-generated reviews and we don’t pay for “Top 10” sponsorships from manufacturers.
Editorial roles
- Lead Editor — owns every published guide, the safety language, and the duty rating logic in our calculators.
- Senior Reviewer — runs hands-on ladder testing: reach measurement, weight loading, lock-and-hinge inspection, and stability checks.
- Safety Researcher — keeps an eye on CPSC alerts, OSHA standards, and manufacturer recalls, and updates the safety reminders shown in every tool.
- Content Editor — proofreads, copy-edits, and signs off on every page before it goes live.
How we vet a ladder
Each ladder we feature is evaluated against the same checklist: duty rating (IAA / IA / I / II / III), working reach at the recommended setup angle, material (aluminum vs. fiberglass for electrical exposure), locks and feet, label legibility, and warranty terms. See the full review methodology.
Conflicts of interest
We accept Amazon affiliate commissions when readers buy through our links, but we don’t accept gifts, paid placements, or “expedited review” arrangements with brands. If we ever evaluate a sample sent by a manufacturer, we disclose that on the specific guide.
